BMC Engineering specialises in the design and fabrication of stainless steel tanks and vessels for a wide range of industries including dairy, food, beverage, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
Regardless of the size, shape or purpose of the tank required, BMC has probably manufactured something like it and would be happy to meet with you to discuss your specific requirements.
By way of example, we manufacture, among others:
Batch pasteurisers
Mixing tanks
Syrup storage tanks
Chemical storage tanks
Rectangular tanks
Milk silos
Insulated process tanks
Pressure vessels
The features of our stainless steel tanks can include:
Various mixers to stir and blend the contents stored in the tanks
Manholes, sprayballs, vents and sightglasses
Ladders and platforms to access the tanks
Dial thermometers, thermowell pockets, instrument pockets and samplers
Inlet and outlet pipes, ending in the correct fittings to match factory standards
BMC is also able to provide our tank clients with:
Tanks with different built-in support structures, including fabricated box legs, pipe or tubular support legs, side-mounted support brackets and ribbed support structures (for the larger silos that rest on concrete plinths). Most legs are supplied with adjustable feet so that tanks to be levelled on sloping floors.
Insulation and cladding around the inner tank, to facilitate the tank’s content remaining at a constant temperature while being stored. This is a second skin around the inner tank and insulates the tank’s contents from external conditions. We offer a welded stainless steel cladding and an air or glasswool insulation.
Heating or cooling jackets, known as dimple jackets, in situations where the temperature of the contents of the tank needs to be physically changed. The dimple jacket is attached to the external part of the inner shell. Steam, hot water, glycol and cold water can be pumped through the cavity. There are a variety of dimple arrangements to withstand various pressure conditions.
